Privacy Policy

What we collect, why, who sees it, and your rights — without the legalese fog.

1. Who controls your data

Pharmacy Network ("we", "us") is the data controller for personal data processed on this platform. Contact: hello@pharmacynetwork.ie.

2. What we collect

Account data: name, email address, password (stored as a secure hash), and account type.

Pharmacy Passport data you choose to add: professional headline and summary, phone number, county and counties you'll work in, PSI or technician registration numbers, qualifications and training flags (e.g. vaccination, CCS, first aid), Garda vetting and indemnity status, driving licence status, dispensing systems, languages, availability, rates and salary expectations, employment history, education, references and document names.

Employer data: company name, locations, descriptions, listings and team member accounts.

Activity data: applications, bookings, cancellations, check-ins, completed shifts, ratings given and received, reliability metrics, messages sent through the platform, and notification preferences including push subscription tokens for your devices.

3. Why we process it (legal bases)

To provide the service you signed up for (contract): matching you with jobs and shifts, sharing your Pharmacy Passport with Employers when you apply, operating messaging, notifications, bookings and ratings.

Legitimate interests: operating the Trust & Reliability system to keep the network dependable for both sides, preventing fraud and abuse, and improving the platform.

Legal obligations: where we must retain or disclose information required by law.

4. Who sees your data

Your Pharmacy Passport is shared with an Employer when you apply to their listing or accept their shift — that is the point of the platform. Your contact details (email, phone) are not shown to Employers unless you share them yourself.

Your reliability score and trust badges are visible to Employers reviewing your applications. Ratings you leave for Employers are shown to other Professionals without your name attached.

We do not sell personal data. We use trusted processors to run the service (hosting by Vercel, database hosting by Prisma Data, web-push delivery via your browser's push service), each bound by their own data processing agreements.

5. Cookies & notifications

We use a single strictly-necessary session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising or third-party analytics cookies.

Push notifications are entirely optional and controlled by you from your dashboard; disabling them deletes the device's push subscription from our systems.

6. Retention

We keep your data while your account is active. If you close your account, profile data is deleted; records we need for legitimate platform-integrity purposes (such as anonymised booking and cancellation history) or legal obligations may be retained in reduced form.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and the right to complain to the Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie). To exercise any right, email hello@pharmacynetwork.ie — we'll respond within one month.

8. Changes

We'll notify you on the platform about material changes to this policy. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
